- Assessing the financial structure and inventory storage capabilities of the business.
- Anticipating stock demands based on current and future business demand plan and consensus forecast.
- Analyzing and anticipating market trends for the best time to purchase inventory.
- Creating inventory reports and presenting purchase proposal plan to Planning Manager
- Working closely with Demand Planner to develop consensus forecasts, identify risks, and explore opportunities for optimizing capacity utilization to drive profitability.
- Working with Demand Planner and monitoring new production development (NPD) and End of life (EOL) projects.
- Monitors and controls inventory aging and follows through with Demand Planner on recommended actions and disposal of slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
- Accountable for raw material inventory turns.
- Manages the inventory strategies towards inventory optimization and supply model strategically to reduce the total supply chain cost and maintains the right service level.
- Execution of POs and DOs, maintaining PO & DO status, and resolving any invoice discrepancies pertaining to the PO raised by Finance.
- Provide transactional information and support to Procurement regarding raw material complaints and return shipments.
- Participates in S&OP (step1), followed by a Demand Review (step 2) and then hosts a Supply Planning meeting (step 3)
- Prepares S&OP step 3 - Supply Review by processing and reviewing appropriate reports, KPI's and dashboards to ensure a productive discussion and S&OP process.
- Providing insights and reports into S&OP inventory trends and providing accountability to site teams on performance and impact
- Maintain a monthly key performance metrics report, supply chain performance data, and propose improvement opportunities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports of operations.
- Closely monitoring supplier’s shipping documents. Coordinate with the forwarder for customs clearance of incoming freight, handle broken bags and cost issues resulting from container cleaning.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain/Business Management or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years' work experience in the related field with 2 years' experience in the planning function; material planning, production planning
- Possess very strong planning skills.
- Accountable team worker, proactive, problem solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of organization and suppliers.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP/S&OP systems
- Strong interpersonal skills to work productively and collaboratively with multi-functional teams to achieve business goals.
- Fluent in Chinese to speak with Chinese-speaking customers.
