Deputy Director, Business Development (SIgN)

Job responsibility

You will interact closely with SIgN Management, Principal Investigators and scientists, and external academic and industry partners and research institutions.

  1. Promote SIgN research to Industry Partners. Facilitate SIgN researchers to communicate with industry partners on potential collaborations. Help to grow SIgN business activities by being proactive in creating new opportunities and new markets. Investigate on potential national and regional businesses.
  2. Promote SIgN platform technologies to external academic and industry partners and research institutions for service engagements and collaborations through seminars, conferences, roadshows and exhibitions. Network with local and international partners and institutions to develop relations within Life Sciences and Immunology and promote use of SIgN platforms. Engage external partners and institutions in service agreements and collaborations.
  3. Negotiate and administer Research Collaboration Agreements (RCA), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) and Confidentiality Agreements. Review and file Technology Disclosures and work with HQ I&E on IP filing.
  4. Coordinate with Project Management Office (PMO) on the management of industry and IAF-PP/IAF-ICP projects.

Job Requirements

Qualification & Field of Study: PhD or Masters in Life Sciences/Immunology/Molecular Biology or related fields, with relevant industry experience (preferred)

Min. Years of Experience: At least more than 8-10 years of business development or sales experience strongly preferred

Other Requirements (e.g. Skills, Competencies):

  • Good team player with excellent interpersonal skills; independent and resourceful
  • Excellent planning skills, well-organized and comfortable with outreach / promoting business partnerships
  • Demonstrate strong delivery of commitments
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with good presentation skills
