Responsibilities
- Identify key client segments, and craft and execute go-to-market strategies for the corporate sales of digital subscriptions to SPH Media titles. Work with the editorial teams to build compelling value propositions for client needs, and translate these into tailored pitches.
- Work closely with the Marketing lead to design B2B marketing programmes that grow brand awareness and generate demand.
- Work closely with counterparts looking after different sectors to identify sales synergies and dovetail efforts where opportunities arise.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining a sales pipeline that will materialise in accordance with the targets set.
- Responsible for sales activities such as prospecting from the leads pool; qualification of the leads and pitching; overcoming objections and negotiating; eventually leading to closure. You are also key to maintaining client relationships.
- You are also responsible for the fulfilment of the deals - i.e. working with the product and tech teams, where necessary, to deliver subscriptions to the clients in accordance with their use cases.
- Post-sales, you will work with the tech and data teams to understand clients’ consumption patterns and behaviours, which will be paramount in informing the overall corporate sales strategy and subsequent renewal negotiations.
- Requirements
- Preferred minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience, with a proven track record. Previous experience in marketing roles will be an advantage
- Highly driven and proactive, with strong business acumen
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- A collaborative work style with demonstrated successful interactions with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to navigate and lead process changes
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to generate data-informed reports and forecasts is preferred
- Hands-on experience on customer relationship management tools
- Knowledge in digital marketing will be an advantage
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Administration/Marketing
