- To assist in new product development and improvement of existing products from conceptualization to product launch
- To develop recipes and conduct tests to optimize product design for new and existing products
- To evaluate new ingredient submissions
- To conduct sensory evaluation and shelf life tests
- To maintain proper documentation to support costing, labelling, scale up and production of new and existing products
- To work closely with inter-departments on the development and launch of new or improved recipes
- To conduct investigation and perform trouble-shooting to resolve quality or processing issues
- To perform ad-hoc duties assigned by immediate superior
Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Food Science & Technology or similar discipline
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience in food manufacturing industry
- Experience in meat-free product (example, mock fish ball, mock chicken etc.)
- Experience in manufacturing/developing of meat-free products, if not at least experience in ingredients that makes the product (example, additives, soy protein, blinder, etc. used in the making of these products)
- Passionate about food product development
- Flour application knowledge is an added advantage
- Meticulous with good organizational skills
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Proficient in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) to liaise with Mandarin and English speaking associates
