Job Purpose:
To develop and implement training strategies, plans and processes to support organizational goals. The position collaborates with business leaders and stakeholders to promote learning excellence and carry out plans for capability development by providing strategic learning interventions as well as providing technical and tactical support to all employees.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute learning strategies and programs
- Assess the organizational development needs, develop and implement learning interventions and programs to meet those needs, and assess the success of those efforts.
- Assess the efficiency of the training programs and performance of the instructors to make suggestions for improvement.
- Drive and implement strategies, policies and processes to strengthen the learning culture.
- Manage the integration of established internal training courses with technical and professional courses provided by external training firms and vendors
- Work together with HR team to identify business needs and make the most of learning and talent development programs, frameworks, and best practices to support the success of individuals and teams.
- Create, design, and implement programs and a road map for leadership development to increase the efficiency and competence of people managers.
- Lead and implement career development strategy and framework for the organization.
- Assist the HR team in the planning and implementation of talent mapping, goal-setting, and individual development planning.
- Have an understanding of e-learning techniques, and where relevant, being involved in the creation and/or deliver of e-learning.
- Create and execute OJT programs for the group.
- Work closely with HR team in the management and execution of rewards and recognition program.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in training, career development and employee initiatives that foster experience and engagement.
- Experience in identifying requirements, creating strategies and putting learning and development initiatives and programs into action as well as the capacity to provide adaptable and creative solutions to address various organizational and individual needs.
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices is a plus
- Effective presentation, training delivery and facilitation skills.
- Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Professional certification i.e., ACTA is a plus
