Squad Lead

We are on the lookout for a Squad Lead to join our company. With the established experience of a senior software engineer who is well-versed in Agile process and practices, you will provide strong technical leadership for the squad. You are proficient in facilitating collaboration and open communication, promoting creativity and accountability and removing blockers where necessary. A servant leader with bold gumption and a ‘We Can Do It’ creed will describe you perfectly.
Key Responsibilities
- Be accountable for the technology direction, oversee adherence to technology, SDLC and Agile standards and policies, promote a culture of continuous improvement
- Drive technical improvements in the SDLC and automation frameworks
- Be accountable for team productivity, quality and delivery in accordance to timelines
- Plan and orchestrate execution of tasks while functioning as an individual contributor
- Manage resource allocation and prioritization effectively
- Mitigate risks and remove impediments that impact team cohesion or project timelines
- Monitor progress, highlight issues encountered, flag potential roadblocks early, mitigate risksand manage issues appropriately.
- Stay on top of delivery efficiency and unblock any impediments for the technical delivery for theteam
- Knowledge of latest Java, FE and Mobile technologies with proficiency and hands on knowledgeand contribution in one of the primary technologies stack
- Be a hands on contributor to code repositories
- Review and approve PR’s of development team maintaining vigilant and effective code quality
- Champion scrum principles, ensures scrum activities remain effective and purposeful
- Coach and empower team members, encourage growth and knowledge sharing, facilitatecontinuous improvement and build team cohesion
- Mentor team members through constructive feedback and inspire members to achieve optimalperformance
- Manage backlog through timely feedback with the team
- Coach, motivate and drive the delivery team with technical leadership and vision.
Prerequisites
- Minimum 5 years experience in a software development role, delivering high quality applications.
- At least 3 years experience in leading a technical team.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standard best practices and full SDLC and proficiency with Agilemethodologies.
- Substantial expertise in full stack development technologies, tools, design solutioning andfamiliarity with Agile methodologies.
- Possess software architecture and design skills to guide the development of solutions that aresecure, scalable and reliable enterprise applications delivery.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Foresighted behavioural attitude for effective delivery management
- Hands on experience and close of modern technology stack
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, highproductivity environment.Benefits
