Job Description
A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs (A*STAR ID Labs) is seeking for a Project Manager to join us in our mission to be a leading centre of infectious diseases research. A*STAR ID Labs aims to develop a cohesive A*STAR response to drive and deliver translational infectious diseases research to better health and economic outcomes.
Job Description
1. To play a managerial role and coordinate project teams across different workstreams to support and deliver the needs of the industry/research programme
2. Provide operational support and clear lines of communication and engagement with multiple stakeholders internally and externally. This can include but not limited to:
a. Coordinate activities with a wide range of collaborators across Singapore and internationally. These could be academic and industrial depending on the programme direction.
b. Business Development - communicate regularly and effectively with researchers and industry partners to establish research collaborations
3. Oversee and manage the lead principal investigator/technical lead, review the progress of the programme, track the KPIs, draft progress updates and document the meetings between the programme leads and any company interactions.
4. Monitoring budgets, reporting and managing risk will also be an essential part of the role.
5. Have an understanding the complex nature of the scientific, operational, and logistic challenges will be an essential part of the role in order to find innovative and creative solutions to complicated or multifaceted problems when working with internal collaborators and external partners.
Job Requirements:
- PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Infectious Diseases, Immunology or related field as above
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience or applicants with relevant academic experience are welcome to apply
- Strong background in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics and Genomics
- Experience with project management, developing and implementing project plans
- Demonstrate experience of developing and maintaining key project documentation to a high standard
- Knowledge and competence in industry engagement and intellectual property would be advantageous
- Highly motivated and able to work independently
