As a Director of Technology Strategy, you will be at the forefront of shaping our technology roadmap and ensuring that our organization is well-positioned to scale and enhance operational efficiency. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, you will collaborate with other technology leaders to set a clear and impactful direction for our future.
Along with your team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology roadmap, driving strategic initiatives, optimizing organizational design, and enhancing the overall effectiveness of the tech organization.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Support the CTO and partner with prod-tech leadership to develop and drive the technology vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with the PropertyGuru’s vision and objectives.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to guide PropertyGuru's ambitions and influence the adoption of relevant technologies within the organization.
- Collaborate closely with the prod-tech leadership to oversee and execute strategic initiatives with the aim of building a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, and customer value mindset within the technology function.
- Work closely with the CEO's Transformation Office, to drive technology-led initiatives aimed at improving productivity and enhancing the employee experience across the organization.
- Work in conjunction to identify opportunities, define technology solutions, and implement strategies that support the company's transformation efforts.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Technical Program Management Team responsible for coordinating and executing cross-functional projects.
- Foster a culture of owning outcomes and not simply on-time delivery of projects and programs.
- Provide governance and decision-making support to the CTO and other members of the technology leadership team.
- Partner with the technology leadership to build a data led culture within the technology organization to drive objective, ROI first decision making around technology budgets, roadmap planning and performance management.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the technology team's dynamics, addressing challenges, and proposing improvements in the areas of prioritisation, collaboration, and communication.
- Act as a bridge between the CTO, technology leadership, and other departments, ensuring seamless cross-functional collaboration.
- Drive alignment through clear communication and shared objectives.
- Continually assess and refine the technology organizational structure to support the company's vision and strategy.
- Define the technology operating rhythm and implement continuous improvements to optimize operations for success.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in software development and engineering management with 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional technology teams and delivering end-to-end products in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and the ability to balance strategic thinking with speed of execution.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and influence decision-makers.
- Proven experience in organizational design, talent development, and culture-building within a technology organization.
- Analytical mindset and the ability to drive alignment through shared goals and Key Results (OKRs).
