What a Director, Operations and Payments Network, Asia Pacific does at Visa:

This role reports to the VP, Global Operations and Networks Payment (with a dual dotted line reporting into the VP, Commercial & Money Movement Solutions, Client Services AP and to the VP, Visa Direct AP).

The Director, AP Operations and Payments Network is responsible for leading and developing multiple teams across the AP region, including Payment Operations, Client Support, Service Management, Implementation Management, Partner Service Management, Payment Application Support and the Payment Operations Command Centre.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership and guidance for the department, teams and direct reports and serve as an escalation point for internal stakeholders, clients and partners
  • Oversee all critical responsibilities of the department, prioritising the timely execution of payment processing activities and the delivery of a high-quality service to clients
  • Closely monitor and take action to ensure the effective and timely execution of all regulatory obligations and process
  • Build a strong and cohesive team by providing leadership through coaching, setting strategic direction and applying working knowledge of Visa products, systems and procedures
  • Ensure all processes adhere to best practice standards, ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and mitigate risk
  • Accountable for the identification, registration and mitigation of risks that reside within the functions
  • Translate strategic goals into operational plans and ensure delivery
  • Define the KPIs for the department to measure performance, output and quality and feed into continual improvement and provide status updates to key VPL and Visa Direct stakeholders
  • Maintain a strategic focus through ongoing dialogue with business partners, seeking to gain an understanding of key strategic objectives.
  • Build effective relationships with clients to enable effective delivery of implementations, including the respective KPIs and reporting capabilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within both Visa payments Ltd and Visa (Direct) Teams to ensure that Readiness can effectively support the deployment of products and during life cycle
  • Lead and co-ordinate discussions with other heads of department to promote effective cross-functional collaboration and efficiency
  • Develop the management team and staff to drive performance improvement, retention and succession

Team Summary

The AP Operations and Payments Network team is a critical department which is responsible for significant parts of the payment, client and network partner lifecycle.
