We are seeking a Research Engineer to join a university-level research centre collaborating with industry. The position is for one year, renewable subject to satisfactory performance. Successful candidates will be involved in a project that is related to 3D Character Modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for modeling and texturing proprietary IP characters, creating character models with a thorough understanding of human anatomy and material properties
- Design and texture character clothing models independently
Job Requirements:
- Master’s degree or above in relevant disciplines
- Ability to hand-paint textures
- Strong foundation in art and sculpting, with a scientific and systematic grasp of human anatomy
- Demonstrate expertise in UV mapping and texturing
- Skilled in the use of tools such as Maya, ZBrush, Photoshop, and Substance Painter for model creation and texture design
