Requirements
- Create and optimize particle effects and FX controllers for the world;
- Work within the game engine to preview, iterate, optimize and polish game assets to a quality bar and visual direction set by the Art Lead and Creative Director.
- Work closely with fellow artists, programmers, animators and game designers.
- Work closely with Creative Leadership to create high-quality visual effects.
- Actively drive pipeline improvements.
Qualifications
- Mid to senior-level of professional VFX experience in the game industry
- Experience in casual game will be a plus
- Proficient in creating high-quality VFX using Unity
- A creative thinker who feels comfortable experimenting and presenting approaches and solutions that help push the edge of what’s possible with FX
- Experience with Unity game engine(s)
- Production experience utilizing particle systems and other forms of dynamic simulations
- Able to balance quality and technical constraints
- Understanding of weight, timing, and animation
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
