Role: Infrastructure Tools Engineer
Location: Kallang
Type of Role: 12 months contract renewable / {convertible to permanent)
Remuneration: Base Salary and 1 month completion bonus
Overview of Role:
The Infrastructure Tools Engineer will be responsible for managing and configuring monitoring tools, ensuring alerting mechanisms are properly set up, and generating performance/utilization reports for network and system related devices. This role requires proficiency in monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and eG, as well as knowledge of SNMP protocols, email and SMS gateways.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and review monitoring tools to ensure accurate monitoring of infrastructure devices and systems.
- Set up alerting mechanisms through email or SMS based on operational requirements.
- Generate and analyze periodic device performance and utilization reports to identify trends and potential issues.
- Collaborate with infra engineers and IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve monitoring-related issues.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies related to network monitoring tools and protocols.
- Configured and optimized monitoring tools for efficient network monitoring.
- Email and SMS alerting systems set up according to operational requirements.
- Regular performance and utilization reports generated and analyzed for network devices.
- Effective communication with team members and stakeholders on monitoring-related matters.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, eG, etc.
- Proficiency in SNMP protocols, email and SMS gateways for alerting purposes.
- Strong verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to compose clear and concise emails and reports for documentation purposes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot monitoring issues.
