Public Relations Officer cum Admin

Job Description

  • Planning and implementing of a public relations and public engagement plan related to the specific Works schedule (in line with the master programme and schedule by Public Engagement Team) for the Contract after obtaining clearance from the S.O.’s Public Engagement Team;
  • Meeting with relevant Members of Parliament and/or Grassroots Advisors as and when required;
  • Handling liaison with the public, including but not limited to, investigating all complaints, providing appropriate and timely replies, and ensuring positive actions are taken by the Contractor to resolve conflicts, feedback and complaints including but not limited to:

o Noise, vibration and dust

o Housekeeping and vector control

o Trees

o Hoardings

o Safety

  • Notifying and initiating dialogue with property owners, management corporations, Resident Committees, Citizens’ Consultative Committees, Town Councils and other relevant parties as directed by the Public Engagement Team;
  • Serving as the host and note recorder of meetings/dialogue sessions and briefings to the stakeholders and submitting a draft report after each session to the Public Engagement Team;
  • Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of complaint status and event happenings;
  • Conducting regular visits (daily or as instructed by the S.O.’s Public Engagement Team) and ad-hoc visits to residents affected by the works to gather feedback and update them on the work schedule changes and other issues;
  • Regularly updating of impacted stakeholders on construction progress, expected impact and mitigation measures implemented;
  • Assist the Project Director in managing all administrative matters which includes filing and documentation;
  • Provide secretarial support as a personal assistant to the department head;
  • Facilitate internal communication including emails, letters, disseminate of information and etc.;
  • Liaise with the operation team to implement new ideas;
  • Plan meetings and take minutes of meetings;
  • Distribute correspondences (letters/memo) to relevant personnel and order office supplies;
  • Provide general support to visitor;
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirement

  • Diploma holder in communications or related profession;
  • Minimum three (3) years relevant experience in public engagement/community consultation
  • Bilingual and effective (speaking, writing and reading) in English and another one of the four official languages of Singapore to communicate with local client for job assignment;
  • A pleasant personality & good interpersonal skill;
  • Resourceful, independent and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
