Job Description

The candidate will work at the Coastal Protection and Flood Resilience Institute Singapore (CFI) at the National University of Singapore (NUS), performing finance and procurement duties and supporting the administration activities at the institute.


Duties & Responsibilities

The role is to support in day-to-day financial operations within CFI, working closely with the Manager (HR/Admin/Finance/Procurement).


PROCUREMENT
• Together with the Principal Investigators for the purchase of material and equipment.
• Review procurement documents and ensure that the documents comply with the University Procurement Policy and Procedures.
• Working with the Central Procurement Office (CPO) to administer quotation and tender process.


FINANCE
• Processing invoices and request for payment.
• Assisting principal investigators relating to their claims.
• Raise journal for error correction, fund transfer and inter-university departments billing.
• Withholding tax management.
• Fixed asset management.
• Quarterly reporting on CFI account.


ADMINISTRATION
• Assist in Institute administration.
• Assist in onboarding/offboarding of institute members.
• Assist Manager (Administration) in human resource related matters.
• Any other ad-hoc initiatives and assignments undertaken by the Institute.

Job Requirements

• Possess at least a Bachelor Degree
Willing to face challenging situations and comfortable with change in a fluid environment within the institute.
• General knowledge of local funding bodies and grant regulations.
• Must have an advanced application of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.).
• Hands-on, analytical, empathetic, creative, passionate professional committed to ongoing progress.
• Possess positive and can-do attitude.
• Inclusive and a genuine team player.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Open to fixed term contract
