We are currently seeking a Senior IT Support Engineer to work as part of the Infrastructure team providing 1st and 2nd level technical support across all areas of the school. The appointee will contribute to the infrastructure team by managing and supporting the client operating environment and by providing second level AV support. He/she will assist the IT Infrastructure Manager and Director of Technology in providing administrative and product advice through sourcing, procurement and budgetary processes, and projects involving the use and installation of AV and Multimedia Equipment.
The role reports to Director of Technology through IT Infrastructure Manager.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent
- Minimum 3 – 5 years relevant experience
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and office applications and Apple products is desirable
- Experience managing user accounts and software deployment via Microsoft Active directory is desirable
- Experience in the use and support of Zoom video conferencing platform
- Knowledge of current technology market, procurement principles and best practices
- Knowledge of Cyber Security
- Previous experience in an educational institution will be well regarded
- Resourceful with strong documentation and excellent negotiation skills
- Strong people management skills, good communication and interpersonal skills, a strong customer focus and a high attention to detail
- Good time management and organisational skills with a proven ability to prioritise tasks
- Able to work independently as well as a good team player with good initiative
- Able to work outside normal working hours depending on the requirements of certain school events.
