Director Project Management SEAT & Wider Asia

As Director Project Management SEAT & Wider Asia, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead key strategic cross-functional innovation projects for SEAT BU - such as new product development, new product claims, key process improvements and visual brand upgrades - to drive delivery of business goals.
  • Lead broader organizational initiatives such as capability building, select governance forums & portfolio support for Wider Asia
  • Directs a Wider Asia BU innovation project managers and drives innovation portfolio decision making among senior leadership and governance team.

Responsibilities:

Scope of Role

  • High proficiency in delivering innovation projects and/or innovation programs with high complexity.
  • Lead selected governance forums e.g. Wider Asia Pre-PMB with high proficiency.
  • Partner closely with Global Portfolio and regional SPM team to enable comprehensive reporting and reviews with key stakeholders.
  • Supervise Wider Asia Project Managers and/or Senior Project Managers

Leadership

  • Role model Haleon Culture
  • Drive efforts to identify, evaluate and then embed best practices from CoP, categories and BUs across the Wider Asia and the organization in general as part of overall business capability building.
  • Expertise in designing/developing and driving implementation of selected new tools, processes and ways of working into the Wider Asia and overall PPM team and/or the Haleon organization.
  • Strong leadership to simplify and enhance ways of working through learnings, including innovation & governance models.
  • Lead capability building and embed PM best practices and behaviors in the Wider Asia PM team through coaching, mentoring & training.
  • Manage self and team through change and pressures, maintaining positivity and optimism while being realistic.
  • High proficiency in driving resolution of team conflicts through skilled negotiation and diplomacy, elevating to accountable functional leaders as necessary.
  • Foster an environment of enthusiasm, accountability and teamwork, help reward and celebrate achievements.

Project Management

  • Strong partnership with the Project Accountable Lead (PAL), instilling confidence and providing competence necessary to take on the most challenging objectives and drive accountability.
  • Accountable for building project team (functions, people) upon project approval, partnering closely with cross-functional leadership.
  • Viewed as expert by core teams to ensure timely decision making, effective stakeholder communication, adherence to applicable processes, contingency planning and execution.
  • Accountable for assuring there is a clear project scope and strategy, aligned resource needs, and comprehensive spend forecasts.
  • Develop & maintain comprehensive timelines in PPM system with cross-functional input, by integrating key functional deliverables and local market launch activities, considering dependencies and resource requirements.
  • Drives functional area’s probability of success assessments in support of portfolio pipeline activities.
  • High proficiency in proactively identifying issues and driving resolution without guidance.
  • Assure comprehensive risk assessment and mitigation plan is in place for all projects.
  • Expertise in meeting management, anticipating where to focus/push/pull and driving for impactful outcomes.
  • Ensure significant changes to the aligned business case are communicated rapidly and efficiently to appropriate leadership (via existing change control process)
  • Assure accuracy of assigned projects’ content in PPM system working closely with data owners from cross-functional project team.
  • Align & deliver all key project milestones to support appropriate metrics.
  • Drive gate readiness partnering closely with Project Accountable Lead and action any gate meeting outcomes with broader project team.
  • Conduct lessons learned with project teams. Document, and assure dissemination out to organization as best practice.
  • Develop, align and track project budget, rapidly communicating variance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree with Masters or Ph.D. degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in Marketing, Supply Chain or R&D including Project Management in a consumer healthcare environment or related area (e.g., CPG, pharmaceutical, etc.).
  • Project Management Certification preferred.
  • Proven delivery of effective project management across a range of project types and complexities. Has held project management and/or leadership positions in organizations of comparable size.
  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Strong Ability to understand the big picture and link it to project/program, ensuring that the project’s goals and objectives will support the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Strong understanding of the overall business process with functional interdependencies to bring a product from concept to consumers hands along.
  • Adaptability to thrive under different conditions and situations.
  • Possesses expertise in clear verbal and written communication, strong ability to convey complex ideas/concepts in a clear, succinct manner.
  • Strong ability to influence & challenge through courageous conversations, bring others to your way of thinking without force or coercion whilst acknowledging their opinions.
  • Strong ability to gauge & adjust communication style to audience.
  • High proficiency in role modeling accountability and holding others accountable.
  • High Proficiency in building trust with teams and stakeholders.
