The HP-NTU Digital Manufacturing Joint Lab (HP@NTU) invites applications for the position of Project Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Laboratory Operations
- Assist with the daily laboratory activities for teaching and research activities
- Assist the technical managers to coach researchers on the operation of equipment and in carrying out experiments in a safe and effective way
- Laise with and manage vendors and contractors for the technical needs of the laboratory
- Assist in carrying out periodic maintenance checks of equipment to ensure that they are in good working condition
- Provide logistical support for events and lab visits
2. 3D Printing and Design
- Support print jobs for research, university and school projects
- Customise and design 3D printed objects using specised software to optimise the print job and achieve requirements of the projects
- Advise PIs, researchers, students and requesters on printing capabilities and parameters of printers at the lab for research, university, school and industry projects
- Assist in any other technical request of the projects
Job Requirements:
- Minimum degree in related subjects with relevant experience in Additive Manufacturing/ 3D printing and design using CAD software (preference will be given to those with relevant experience in Institutes of Higher Learning / Additive Manufacturing environments)
- Knowledge on 3D printing and lab operations are preferred
- Excellent command in English (written and spoken)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- A hands-on person and enjoys working in an academic/research environment
- Highly motivated and customer oriented
- Able to work independently, as well as, in a team
