Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Coffee Tasting Specialist with Q Grader certification to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a crucial role in our coffee quality control process, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of excellence. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both English and Chinese, enabling effective communication across our diverse team and customer base in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cuppings and evaluate coffee beans using the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) standards.
- Maintain and enhance our coffee quality by identifying, recommending, and implementing improvements to our sourcing, roasting, and brewing processes.
- Train and guide team members on coffee tasting techniques and knowledge.
- Work closely with our sourcing team to select high-quality coffee beans.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and partners in both English and Chinese to ensure the quality and sustainability of our coffee sources.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create educational content on coffee tasting and appreciation for our customers.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in coffee quality and sustainability.
Requirements:
- Certified Q Grader with a strong understanding of coffee cupping and grading protocols.
- Fluent in both English and Chinese, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in coffee tasting or a related field.
- Deep passion for coffee and a keen sense of taste and smell.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willing to travel oversea every month.
- Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new coffee trends and techniques.
- Prefer candidate have oversea working experiences in coffee industry.
