JCI-Seaborne (S) Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based Marine Insurance Correspondent that provides professional claims management and claims handling services to various maritime insurance entities such as Protection & Indemnity Clubs, Hull & Machinery Underwriters and Cargo Underwriters.
We are looking for a suitable candidate to fill our Claims Executive Position. Candidates who successful complete the 1-year training may be eligible for full or partial sponsorship of their undergraduate studies (only on courses pre-approved by the company).
Primary Responsibilities
- Assisting the Claims Manager in the local management and handling of Maritime Claims and Disputes (P&I, H&M and/or Cargo Claims)
- Instructing of Marine Surveyors and Consultants for various Marine Surveys and Investigations
- Office Adminstrative Duties
Min. Requirements:
Education:
1) At least a B Grade for English at O Level Standard; &
2) Diploma in a Maritime discipline or Legal Studies.
Min. Proficiencies:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Powerpoint Applications.
Note: Given the operational nature of the maritime industry, attending to emergency calls and e-mail correspondences after work-hours, on weekends and/or Public Holidays will be required. A successful candidate will be required to conduct a 6 months marine survey attachment for field exposure.
