As part of the Corporate Sustainability team in Maybank Singapore, the Sustainability Manager will support in the collective efforts to embed sustainability across the organisation, including collaborating with business units to drive sustainable finance for the Bank.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business units to provide advisory on sustainable financing solutions and products, including but not limited to green, social, transition, sustainability-linked financing).
- Drive local initiatives to support business’ efforts in greening and/or transitioning client portfolio and ensure alignment with Group’s framework and sustainability commitments.
- Provide advisory on ESG considerations and risks in order to better engage and inform clients, and work with them to move to a lower-carbon economy.
- Collaborate and provide guidance to Business Units, Risk and other related units for Sustainability-related Product Development in Singapore.
- Track, monitor, facilitate progress and report on bank’s sustainability targets and deliverables in Singapore.
- Maintain documentation and sustainability-related data for Group Reporting.
Requirements
- Familiarity and experience in decarbonisation projects (for example experience in sectors such as power, energy, real estate, agriculture)
- Knowledge and experience in sustainable finance is an advantage
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in sustainability-related field
- Good knowledge of sustainability issues, international standards and best practices
- Experience in stakeholder and project management, especially with Head Office counterparts and cross-functional teams
- Effective communication and writing skills
- Able to work independently, multi-task, and manage deadlines
