Responsibilities
- Monitor all phases of marine construction projects to ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Develop and implement environmental management plans and standard operating procedures in line with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular environmental inspections and audits on construction sites to identify potential environmental risks and ensure the implementation of control measures.
- Monitor air and water quality, noise levels, and other environmental parameters to ensure they meet regulatory standards.
- Respond to environmental incidents or breaches, coordinating immediate corrective actions and mitigation measures.
- Prepare and submit incident reports and compliance documentation to relevant authorities and stakeholders.
- Conduct environmental awareness and training sessions for site personnel, promoting best practices and ensuring staff are informed of environmental responsibilities.
- Advise project teams on environmental matters, providing guidance on the implementation of effective environmental management strategies.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, local communities, and other stakeholders to communicate environmental measures and address concerns related to marine construction activities.
- Participate in environmental impact assessments and public consultations as required.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma / Degree in Environmental Science / Environmental Engineering or equivalent
- At least 3 – 4 years of relevant experience in constructions industry
- Experience in PUB / LTA projects.
- Registered ECMO / ECO
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards applicable to marine construction.
- Experience in conducting environmental inspections, audits, and monitoring.
- Able to start work immediately or within short notice
