Responsibilities
- Assist in managing and administering contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
- Support the Contract Manager in negotiations, variations, claims, and dispute resolution.
- Maintain contract documentation and ensure all parties are informed of their obligations and rights under the contract.
- Work closely with the quantity surveying team to track project costs, prepare cost forecasts, and manage budget adjustments.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of cost reports, identifying variances from the budget and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure contractual and QS practices are integrated into project planning and execution.
- Provide input into risk management strategies and participate in regular project reviews to assess progress and financial performance.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate project delivery and ensure contract compliance.
- Assist in resolving any contractual and commercial issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of improved contract management and QS processes and tools.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction / Civil Engineering or equivalent
- At least 4 years of relevant contracts / QS experience in the marine construction industry
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Primavera
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost control.
- Proficient in relevant software, including QS and contract management tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Able to start work immediately or within short notice
