Job Purprose
You will report to Team Lead, Business Processing (Group Insurance Operations), and the key role is to carry out the daily tasks of the business processing function and process review.
Job Responsibilities
• Issuance of policy contracts and endorsements;
• Issuance of policy adjustment, member movement;
• Responsible for premiums computation and experience refund;
• Ensure tax invoices/endorsement schedules/medical cards are issued timely;
• Liaise with direct clients/agents on employee benefits related queries via all channels;
• Fronting of digital solutions to clients/agents to champion for digitisation;
• Attend to escalations independently and recommend sound resolutions;
• Ensure the accuracy of records entries & proper documentation;
• Participate in projects which improve operations efficiency and effectively review the current processes and initiate improvement;
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing prior to deployment of changes in system;
• Maintenance of Department records and endorsements;
• Administration of data to provide reports required to track Department’s progress;
• Provide administrative support and perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Team Lead;
• Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks;
• Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and appropriate steps to mitigate the risks; and
• Highlight any potential concerns/risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
Job Requirements
• Degree from recognized institution;
• Preferred at least 1 year relevant experience specializing in insurance administration/business processing;
• Applicant along with experience in processing group insurance policies will be an advantage;
• Good time management, good analytical skills, detailed-oriented and pro-activeness;
• Task and results oriented, and a good team player;
• Mathematically inclined and with good communication skills;
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel. The job requires significant data sorting and manipulation;
• Proficient in other Microsoft Office applications;
• High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork; and
• Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
