First 90 Days
- Immerse yourself in the altSchool core values and methods, understanding our innovative approach to special education
- Assist in the creation and delivery of engaging, individualised learning experiences aligned with our curriculum
- Establish a positive and supportive classroom environment for our diverse learners
- Begin forming strong, communicative relationships with families and the broader school community
Typical Expectations
- Provide consistent support to Lead and Co-Teachers, contributing to a seamless educational experience
- Actively engage with and support our students, applying differentiated instructional methods
- Collaborate in the monitoring and reporting of student progress, adapting to their evolving needs
- Continue to grow professionally, embracing ongoing training and development opportunities
Requirements
- A diploma or certificate in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
- Experience working with children, preferably within an educational or special needs setting
- A collaborative spirit with a strong desire to learn and grow within an innovative teaching environment
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact warmly and effectively with students, staff, and parents
- A proactive and flexible approach to classroom duties
