- Develop new business for freight forwarding, warehousing, transportation, 3PL and any related logistics fields from new customers,
- Create an Account Plan for the target accounts describing the penetration and maintenance strategies
- Create an Account engagement plan detailing the relationship development and business reviews
- Further develop the Company’s business scope with existing customers of Freight Forwarding Division and 3PL Division,
- Act as the main window to Japanese key accounts to maintain the business with them
- Create Sales Roadmap for the development of Pharma vertical for Singapore
- Act as the competence centre for Pharma related Inquiries and Opportunities
- Maintain a pipeline for both 3PL and Pharma accounts based on company target and average achievement ratio
- Based on the full & deep understanding of customers as-is status, requirements, and needs, to deliver customers best solutions and improvement proposals,
- Support the development of the pricing model and financial feasibility of the project, and spearhead the pricing strategy
- Liaise with company’s 3PL division, freight forwarding business development dept and overseas offices such as sales department and technology department in the parent company in Japan to maximize the benefit of both the customer and the company,
- Take a lead to go through necessary approval processes of the big business acquisition and/or investments following Company’s & its parent company’s standards,
- Through above activities, to fulfil Company’s target of business development,
- Develop roadmap and overarching design of company’s business development and growth strategy with DMD and General Managers from other departments of the Company,
- Preparing necessary reports and presentation materials such as but not limited to the company’s Executive Meeting, Board Meeting, Parent Company’s quarterly meetings, etc,
- Report customers’ and markets’ trend to the Management,
- In joint efforts with the FWD Sales Team, 3PL Division and Accounting Department, to follow-up on payments from both existing and new customers,
- Staff management and development of the Sales Department, and
- Any other duties as assigned by Deputy Managing Director.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in Freight Forwarding and 3PL industry,
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Japanese language at business level for liaison with local and Japan stakeholders.
- Experienced in business development activities at MNC Regional headquarters
- Proven track record of experience in process improvement of business development activities such as the planning and implementation of CRM systems,
- Possess high awareness and interests about improvements, growth and adopting new business models & technologies,
- Possess financial acuity to support pricing models and financial feasibility
- Experienced in Pharma logistics industry and strong understanding of Pharma customer requirements, processes and statutory requirements
- Background in Quality management and CAPA processes
- Experience in developing sales strategies and market penetration
- Experience in implementation of state-of-the-art technologies such as automation technology to logistics business will be an added advantage,
- Good ability to manage and effectively interact with all levels of staffs,

- Good ability to strategize and solve problems using creative & innovative approach, and
- Excellent communication and people skills.
