As the Manager of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the London School of Business & Finance (LSBF) Singapore Campus, you will be a key driver in fostering innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, industry collaboration, seeking industrial attachment for LSBF students and career placement for graduating and graduated LSBF students.
Your role will involve implementing strategic initiatives, enhancing the Centre's visibility, creating opportunities for students and entrepreneurs, and ensuring meaningful career placements for LSBF students.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan aligning with LSBF's overall goals.
- Lead the vision of the Centre to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry collaboration.
Investor and Funding Outreach:
- Identify and build relationships with potential investors, venture capitalists, angel funds, and other funding sources.
- Actively seek opportunities for partnerships and funding supporting the Centre's initiatives.
- Organise pitch sessions and events to connect entrepreneurs with investors.
Program Development:
- Design and implement innovative programs, workshops, and events to nurture entrepreneurship among students and the wider community.
- Collaborate with academic departments to integrate entrepreneurial principles into the curriculum.
Community Engagement:
- Engage with the local business community, startups, and industry leaders to create a supportive ecosystem for entrepreneurship.
- Establish partnerships with external organisations, government bodies, and industry associations to enhance the Centre's network.
- Student Support, Industrial Attachment and Career Placement:
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students interested in entrepreneurship, fostering a culture of creativity and risk-taking.
- Facilitate networking opportunities, internships/industrial attachment, and meaningful career placements for LSBF students.
- Conduct comprehensive job readiness screenings and skills inventory assessments for students and graduates, ensuring a holistic understanding of their capabilities.
- Develop, consolidate, and monitor strategic career plans tailored to the unique needs of each student and graduate, fostering their career growth.
- Provide personalised coaching and guidance to students and graduates through one-on-one sessions or group workshops, focusing on enhancing employability skills such as CV writing, job search techniques, interview preparation, and skills gap training.
- Drive the conceptualisation, support, and execution of projects, workshops, and events aimed at boosting the employability of students and graduates. These initiatives may include career wellness workshops, career fairs, seminars.
- Address students and graduates' needs related to employability aspects, including job applications, introductions to potential employers, networking opportunities, and mentorship matching.
- Conduct relevant surveys and focus group discussions to gather insights into the employability needs of students and graduates, ensuring a data-driven approach.
