A glimpse of what you’ll do:
- Network Optimization and Performance:
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks and issues.
- Perform ongoing tuning and optimisation of network hardware and software components such as updates and upgrades.
- Perform network operations activities such as installations of network equipment according to design specifications.
- Align infrastructure operations with agreed service agreement standards.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution:
- Lead efforts to diagnose and resolve network incidents and outages.
- Follow up with users to ensure problem has been resolved.
- Recommend system modifications to reduce user problems.
- Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineers.
- Design and implement complex network solutions that align with business goals and industry best practices.
- Plan and execute network expansion and upgrade projects.
- Participate in network architect designs discussion.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent fields
- At least 5 years of experience in the network engineering with a strong background in network design.
- Expertise in routing and switching technologies (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
- Experience of administration of network devices with hands-on experience on NXOS, ACI, Load balancers, and routers.
- Experience in Wi-Fi, firewall & network access control
- Experience in network operations role & project management
- In-depth knowledge of security protocols and best practices.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP or CCIE are highly desirable.
