Responsibilities:
Financial Modeling:
- Develop and update financial models to assess the performance and viability of retail operations across key SEA countries.
- Conduct investment viability analyses for different store types and formats.
New Store Financial Analysis:
- Perform financial analysis and due diligence for new store proposals from each country's real estate team.
- Customize financial models and align key assumptions with stakeholders to aid senior management decision-making.
- Prepare investment parameters to guide decision-making processes.
Financial Reporting:
- Collaborate closely with the Finance team to produce regular investment reports and dashboards.
- Monitor store performance against targets, identify significant trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
- Offer recommendations to optimize financial outcomes and achieve business objectives.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Support the annual budgeting process by coordinating capex requirements with new store expansion plans from each country.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Engage with various departments, including operations, marketing, HR, Supply Chain, Merchandising, and Finance.
- Gather and validate data, ensuring alignment of financial goals with operational strategies.
- Act as a bridge between real estate and other departments to ensure financial factors are considered in decision-making processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field is a must. Advanced degrees or professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) are highly valued
- Proven experience in financial analysis, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience
- Experience in developing financial investment models is essential
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting techniques
