Job Description
HR Operational Excellence and Support
- First point of contact to provide professional advice on the interpretation of HR policies and procedures, employment legislation and processes
- Execute full spectrum HR activities in relation to talent acquisition, management, retention and separation (recruitment, induction, performance appraisal, promotion, staff welfare, on/off-boarding etc.) for all staff schemes
- Liaise on job postings, and with approved recruitment agencies for temporary hiring requests
- Liaise for manpower budget/costings to ensure available funding for hiring
- Ensure timely staff contract renewals
- Assist HR related activities including but not limited to manpower planning, search, appointment, reappointment, promotion and tenure, performance management, mentorship programme
- Assist in HR exercises and programme implementation
HR Policies, Processes and Systems - Communicate effectively with employees on policy/ process/ system changes and implications, and escalate feedback/inputs to
- Initiate continuous improvements to internal HR processes, systems and communications to enhance service experience
HR Database and Reporting - Maintain, update and manage staff information databases for reporting and analysis
- Coordinate EOM reports for billing, audit purpose
Requirements
- Bachelor degree with at least 2-4 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a large organization; Diploma holders will be considered based on merit of experience
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access etc.)
- Good knowledge of Employment Act and Labor Laws.
- Strong HR administration experience (in the academia or research sector would be advantageous)
- Experience in HR Information System Workday® would be an advantage
