Job Description & Requirements:
- Setting out the works in accordance withthe drawings and specification
- Liaising with the project planning engineerregarding construction programmes
- Checking materials and work in progressfor compliance with the specifiedrequirements
- Observance of safety requirements
- Resolving technical issues with employer’srepresentatives, suppliers, subcontractors
- and statutory authorities
- Quality control in accordance withCSIs/procedures method statements,
- quality plans and inspection and test plans,all prepared by the project management
- team and by subcontractors
- Liaising with company or projectpurchasing department to ensure thatpurchase orders adequately define thespecified requirements
- Supervising and counselling junior ortrainee engineers
- Measurement and valuation (incollaboration with the project quantitysurveyor where appropriate)
- Providing data in respect of variationorders and site instructions Preparingrecord drawings, technical reports, sitediary
- Job review of subordinate staff
