RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Marketing and Corporate Communications
    • Assist with the development of print collaterals for marketing of SMU's Postgraduate Research (PGR) programmes and provide advisement to schools, coordinating a standardised look-and-feel of the programme-specific brochures.
    • Support the promotion of PGR programmes across appropriate digital marketing channels, including Search Engine Marketing campaigns, display advertisements and developing research videos, blog posts, opinion editorials, e-flyers and e-newsletters.
    • Assist with the interviews of PGR students for write-ups or videos on their experiences and research achievements.
    • Work in partnership with SMU's Corporate Communications and Marketing team to provide guidance on university-level branding policies to key internal stakeholders managing PGR programmes.
    • Maintain CGRS websites (both public-facing and intranet).
    • Prepare and send publicity materials for various CGRS events and activities.
  • Recruitment and Partnership Liaison
    • Assist with the implementation of a university-level recruitment strategy for SMU's PGR programmes to promote the alignment of PGR student recruitment in accordance with national-level directives.
    • Coordinate with Schools on overseas outreach and recruitment events to establish SMU's presence in the high priority markets.
    • Support centrally coordinated outreach events like the annual CGRS Open House, HeadHunt Postgraduate Fair and Information Sessions to increase the quality of recruitment leads.
    • Support the establishment of partnerships with academic institutions to promote dual-degree PhD or collaborative degree programmes.
    • Manage a streamlined onboarding process for international collaborations relating to SMU's PGR programmes.
  • General
    • Support the analysis and reporting of SMU's annual recruitment data for PGR programmes in accordance with national-level directives.
    • Assist with the ROI measurement of various marketing, recruitment and outreach campaigns.
    • Maintain CGRS's mailing lists for recruitment leads and graduate placements.
    • Custodian of CGRS common mailboxes, ensuring that emails are responded in a timely manner.
    • Serve as CGRS's Assistant Data Protection Officer Representative.
    • Support institutional benchmarking research to drive the review and development of PGR educational policies to ensure relevance and alignment with best practices;
    • Business improvement projects to increase productivity and drive consistency in business solutions that cut across the SMU schools; Gather user feedback and partner key stakeholders to assess outcomes of improvement or change management projects;
    • CGRS' teammates with other responsibilities, duties and tasks, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University Degree with a minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience with good administrative and organisational skills.
  • Prior experience in understanding the tertiary education landscape would be an advantage.
  • Experience in organising student activities and events management will be an advantage.
  • Experience in managing and updating social media and web content.
  • Able to design event marketing collaterals using design application (Canva).
  • Good communications (both written and spoken) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisation and execution skills, and an eye for detail are essential.
  • A team player who is able to work interdependently with others.
