Job Summary
This position requires one to be familiar with the charity sector and the needs of beneficiaries served. One must be able to independently plan and design programmes and services, successfully implement them to impact beneficiaries in a supportive manner while delivering on our vision and mission.
This role requires direct liaison with stakeholders such as beneficiaries and families, programme providers, design / enhancement of the programmes, services and event(s), execution coupled with collection and maintenance of data collected from the community to ensure successful and sustained programme / service delivery. Analysis and reporting of programme outcome is an essential component of review and partners/collaborators evaluation.
Role & Responsibilities:
Programme Planning, Management and Implementation Tasks
- Ensure Department strategies and goals are implemented and optimised against approved workplans and budgets.
- Design, develop and/or enhance Department’s programmes and services
- Ensure that effective communication of programmes and services is undertaken to generate ample awareness among the target client groups. Programmes are to be well conducted with regular scheduled monitoring and evaluation to be effected to stay relevant. Monthly update on output and outcome / impact achieved to be made available for senior management and Committees.
- Participate in data impact analysis and programme evaluation led by Head of Dept
Partnerships and Networking Tasks
- Develop and maintain effective networks with key stakeholders e.g government, social services agencies, trusts and foundations, service providers etc
- Work with Departments:
- Student Care Services Team, (Community) Partners and key stakeholders identify the clients’ needs and introduce suitable psycho-educational and therapeutic programmes to support the holistic development of beneficiaries
- Communications and Engagement Team - for effective and sustained communication to the community
- Participate in various programme-related knowledge sharing and learning forums, document and share feedback with team
Financial Management Tasks
- Facilitate fund sourcing and grant application for new / enhanced programmes and services
- Support Department Head in the development, analysis of the team's activities, work plans to ensure that Department’s key performance indicators and targets are met and community impacted.
People Management
- Work collaboratively with Department members to sustain strong working relationship
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders for market analysis and impact management.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or its equivalent, has strong programme knowledge and passion to serve the young in the community.
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in planning and executing programmes and services in the social service sector; to have relevant working experience in the social service or charity sector will be an advantage.
- Must be effectively bilingual and well versed in the use of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint, social media and understand data protection standards.
- Possess strong communication skills and proactiveness in stakeholder engagement.
- Strong team player, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with Management, stakeholders, volunteers and staff.
- Ability to exercise sound business judgement with detailed good planning, problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills with a heart for charity.
