Assistant Retail Supervisor

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant Retail Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of the store, provide exceptional customer service, and lead a team of retail associates. Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Team Management:

  • Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to ensure they meet performance expectations and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Lead by example and foster a positive and inclusive work environment where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

2. Customer Service:

  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and ensure that all team members prioritize customer satisfaction.
  • Handle escalated customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, provide product recommendations, and offer assistance with purchasing decisions.

3. Store Operations:

  • Handle opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, security checks, and ensuring the store is properly secured.
  • Oversee inventory management processes, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and conducting regular stock counts.
  • Monitor merchandise displays and ensure they are visually appealing and comply with company standards.
  • Assist with scheduling, staffing, and labour management to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods.

4. Sales and Performance Metrics:

  • Achieving sales targets and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Analyse sales data and identify opportunities to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Implement strategies to drive sales and meet or exceed performance goals.
  • Monitor employee performance metrics and provide regular feedback and coaching to help improve individual and team performance.


Qualifications:

  • “O” Level, higher secondary, diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous retail experience, including supervisory or leadership roles, is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with retail POS (Point of Sale) systems.
  • Flexibility to working shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
