Overview of role
The Associate Scientist level is the entry level for individuals seeking to to utilise and grow their understanding of science/engineering to deliver innovation. In this role, you will develop sufficient proficiency in procedural work and expertise in application work by combining hands-on experimentation with scientific principles and knowledge from your science/engineering education to drive foundational technical understanding and solve technical problems.
The work will deliver technical outputs which address critical innovation challenges and completion of key milestones.
We have opportunities in a variety of technical disciplines like: Products Research, Process Development, Raw Material Development, Packaging Development, Analytical, Microbiology, Biosciences, Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Regulatory Affairs, etc. You will work in any of the above disciplines supporting one of our business categories ranging from Hair Care, Beauty Care, Skin Care, Personal Cleansing Care, Personal Healthcare, Oral Care, Baby Care, Home Care and Fabric Care.

Key Responsibilities
- Apply academic background, practical hands-on experience, and sound scientific method to generate and interpret data, solve problems, and make discoveries and connections against project needs and problem resolution.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the fundamental science and technology in their area and use hands-on, in the “lab” experimentation to deliver against the objectives of the project.
- Look for new ways to approach experimentation to meet project needs and enhance learning
- Develop skills and approaches consistent with a learning culture and “innovation through experimentation,” valuing and learning from both success and failure.
- Communicate results both orally and in writing to Manager/ technical coach and project team.
- Will spend a significant amount of time performing application work through hands-on experimentation and learning in the “lab”, thereby mastering fundamental methods, familiarizing themselves with our products, and demonstrating the critical thinking skills, technical understanding, and implementation skills to deliver their assignment.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Science, Engineering or related fields
- Able to work independently, multi task and perform in a challenging environment
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to use data to connect multiple ideas and develop solutions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with people from different cultures and levels, both internally and externally
