Job Purpose
The Regional Head of Business will drive business transformation enabled through technology delivery to support Business and Operations/IT Strategy for Asia.
The role is to lead the execution of IT strategy, plans, and initiatives in the region with the Operating Entities (OEs).
What you do
You will:
- Lead the team of transformation experts for Allianz in Asia
- Setup and drive transformation program(s) aligned with regional business strategy/objectives that create impact across different business functions
- Partner with the Regional board/executive team, OE CEO/COO/CIOs, Group executives, and other executive sponsors to endorse, define approach, and plan rollout of technology solutions across the value chain
Ensure a structured approach to program execution across regions through
- Program Management and Governance: oversee and ensure delivery of programs intime/cost/quality
- Solution Steering and Harmonization: manage demand and quality of solutioning
- Change Management: work collaboratively with the country transformation leads/teams to drive change
- Ownership of results and key performance indicators of transformation programs
- Balance short-term objectives and long-term objectives of Group/Region/OE through active prioritization of program portfolio and fact-based analysis/decision-making
- Engage, motivate, and leverage cross-functional teams to drive transformation
- Drive impact on business results and customer impact through the execution of regional programs through the definition of performance KPI improvement/SuccessFactors
Implement Gearshift (IT Operating Model Transformation program)
- Drive global organizational change program to industrialize, standardize, and optimize IT delivery across Asia markets
- Define approach and roadmap to implement regional delivery centres with AzTechnology in Asia
Implement the Harmonized Technology Platform for P&C Business
- Drive implementation of general insurance core platform and peripherals to upgrade technology capabilities in key Property and Casualty markets in Asia
What you bring
Management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both oral and written) with the ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences
- Strong decision making and planning skills. Able to make decisions quickly and efficiently
- Proven competency to effectively interact at all levels across the organization, working to build and maintain successful relationships across all departments
- Proven consultative, conflict resolution, negotiation and facilitation skills to gain consensus and ensure delivery of initiatives
- Demonstrated flexibility and be able to work in a time-sensitive environment and meet strict deadlines with sudden and unpredictable changes that may occur
- Senior Leadership experience and people management experience is critical.
Technical skills
- Strong analytical skills, technical and architecture experience, preferably in insurance sector
- Experience with traditional and Agile methodologies
- Proven competency in analyzing business requirements for regional/cross-country initiatives
- Ability to improve processes and procedures; present opportunities for change
Business skills
- Strong grasp of new technologies, competitive landscapes, marketplace, and the insurance regulatory environment
- C-level business acumen and management
- Strong presentation and communication skills at Board level (local, regional, global)
- International work experience across multiple geographies and jurisdictions
- Strong track record in delivering similar scaled program management and senior management/partner/stakeholder relationships
- Ability to speak Mandarin would be an advantage given the markets involved
- Additional experience with technical pricing and reinsurance will be an added advantage.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Divisional products, guidelines and relevant legislation.
- Tertiary business or MBA qualifications.
- 15+ years in Insurance &/or Technology industry
