Key Job Accountabilities:
The Transport Manager works closely with all business Teams and transportation logistics partners, to ensure the delivery of our products on time and the respect of our quality and safety standard.
- Coordinate transportation logistics with Freight Forwarders for inbound & outbound flows, to ensure timely transportation services for our retailers and to ensure the quality and safety standard of transportation services, aligned with global & zone strategy.
- Optimize routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and to ensure the delivery of our goods on time.
- Monitor the performance of transportations providers through metrics related to cost, green impact, quality, forecasting & delivery as per validated specifications.
- Lead all sustainable initiatives related to transport: propose and implement greener solutions (optimization – network, container, biodiesel, sustainable aviation fuel etc…)
- Ensure compliancy with group standards and local regulations in the different Asian & Pacific markets of Travel retail Asia Pacific: Hazardous goods, customs/incoterms, transportation regulations.
- Strengthen business partnerships across teams to ultimately improve supplier performance.
- Build relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to provide global support including benchmark rate information, facilitation, project tracking, risk escalation and best practice sharing for all global contracts.
Requirements:
- Graduated in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related fields.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in transport and logistics management, preferably in the travel retail industry and in Asia/Pacific
- Strong familiarity with transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Strong planning and organization skills with an ability to appropriately prioritize.
- Solutions orientated mindset with the ability to work accurately at pace.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill, ability to root cause issues, empowering you to take responsibility and contribute your own ideas.
- Experience of implementing process-improvement.
