The Buyer / Senior Buyer is responsible for purchasing goods and services to meet the requirements for cost effectiveness, quality standards and timeliness.


You will draft contract documents detailing in full contractors' responsibilities and liabilities, while safeguarding the company’s interests, and work closely with the user departments to prepare tender documents to ensure clear and detailed specifications that will fit business needs. You will also perform analysis of the tender submissions and negotiate with suppliers to select best value offer for the organisation.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and executing the sourcing strategies
  • Analyse market trends and supplier landscape
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management
  • Uncover business-building ideas and cost-saving opportunities
  • Design sourcing strategies that improves the value, availability, and technology
  • Strike deals through negotiation or leading competitive bidding
  • Build effective working relationships with suppliers
  • Participate as a critical member of a cross-functional team to deliver a project
  • Support all procurement and procurement related jobs such as forecasting, logistics, etc.


Requirement

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sourcing and procurement
  • Prior experience in equipment procurement in Semiconductor Company
  • Knowledge of semiconductor packaging technology
  • Good understanding of strategic sourcing, tendering process, contract management, contract negotiation and contract governance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective influencing skills and skilled in contract negotiations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Able to establish good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Resourceful, driven and able to drive innovation, champion change and work collaboratively and achieve results.
  • Experience with procurement software/ platforms preferred (for e.g. SAP, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge in Semiconductor manufacturing process for technical procurement
