Our client is a renowned European listed MNC in the luxury home appliance sector. The co is a well-known household name which is an established market leader in its field. Re the office's location, it is based at a building that is 2 bus stops away from the Tiong Bahru MRT station.


This is a newly created role in the sales/ BD team due to the expansion of business requirements.


Position: Sales/Business Development Manager

Department: Sales

Reporting line: SEA Managing Director

Location: Singapore

Area of business: Singapore/SEA


Key Responsibility

Tasked to develop targeted brand awareness (creation of brand amplifiers and endorsers) and business generation (sales), the role will focus on developing and nurturing long-lasting relations with business stakeholders in a general extent – in particular with developers/ architects / interior designers, potential target customers and related gathering circles – with ability to inspire through the uniqueness of the firm’s brand and products’ features, and capacity to design solutions and close sales deals.


Tasks and responsibilities.

  • By means of proactive interactions with business stakeholders, the person will develop/nurture business relations aimed to close Project Sales B2B as well as manage Channel Sales.
  • The position proactively proposes forms of legally viable business opportunities – to distributors and partners able to generate business deals.
  • The position constantly focuses on customers’ aftersales execution and products handover. Also act as the interface between the developers / designers / partners / customers and the company, while being the ultimate controller to ensure that customers are served according to the highest standards within the organization.
  • The position ensures proper control on “word of mouth” among business stakeholders, designers, architects and consumers. Potential cases of negative publicity are expected to be promptly and actively addressed within the organization (e.g. reports of complains) and work on suggestions for short-term recovery and consistent improvement.
  • Requires strict enforcement on ethic business and respect of the brand and role in the market, in respect of pricing and payment policies. Strict in not accepting any form of fraud, corruption and bribery of any kind. This person is required to report immediately to management any suspicion based on real evidence or solid insights.

Supportive Tasks

  • The person proactively coordinates with Marketing team to perfect and execute all relevant activities to enhance the brand name.
  • The person actively ensures enforcement of highest standards of service by liaising with the service team including installation / handover. Strived to be recognized as the best in the market in all respects.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in any discipline.
  • Min 10 years of sales/ BD experience, with the sales/ BD track-record of developing B2B and Channel Management Sales in the luxury home appliance segment.
  • Has the required network of working with condo developers/architects /interior designers as the client base.
  • Possess elegance and taste in line with a role of full representation of an international luxury brand.
  • Possess the capability to inspire and influence with a personal approach for quality of life, taste and style (which is aligned to the branding of the co’s products)
  • A strong team player, who is also independent in making good judgment/decisions under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and result-driven, yet always honest and with high integrity standards (and record).
  • Well presented with good English language skills, both written and verbal. Also Mandarin speaking proficiency is required given the requirements to converse in Mandarin with some Chinese condominium developer firms (who are part of their customer clientele)
  • Open to some travel in the SEA region (e.g. Indonesia, Philippines)
  • Possess strong people skills.
