Job Description
- Selection, assessment, audit, and approval of suppliers. Perform audits of new suppliers to evaluate the expected quality performance of the suppliers.
- Responsible for establishing, controlling, maintaining, and improving existing supplier quality performance. Monitor key quality metrics (Technology, Quality, Responsiveness, Delivery, and Cost). Work with suppliers on continuous improvement in these areas.
- Work with design engineers and customers to develop equipment validation plans, and factory and site acceptance testing plans. Responsible for execution and documentation of validations and testing.
- Provide technical support to suppliers for quotation activities.
- Working closely with suppliers to ensure product requirements are understood and complied with. Ensure suppliers are meeting product quality requirements and delivery schedules. Providing updates to the internal team on the progress.
- Establish inspection plan and testing criteria at supplier sites and incoming.
- Conduct training on product, assembly, and inspection requirements to suppliers at supplier sites.
- Carry out equipment assembly. Develop procedures and work instructions for equipment assembly and inspection process.
- Design and development of inspection jig and fixtures needed to carry out inspections.
- Initiate corrective action report management and resolution. Working with suppliers' non- conformance activities, performing root cause analysis, and determining effective corrective actions to reduce or eliminate the cost of poor quality.
- Lead in continuous improvement activities
- Manage and monitoring of equipment calibration. Lead calibration activities including writing procedures, developing calibration and metrology test methods, and monitoring of calibration schedules.
Job Specification
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Fresh Graduates are welcome
- The ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications including strong GD&T skills and experience is a plus
- Able to perform the inspection using measuring equipment
- Experience in using problem-solving tools including fishbone diagrams, FMEA, and 5-whys methodology
- Good analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Able to analyse data for accuracy and correctly interpret results
- Meticulous attention to detail, able to multi-task, and committed to the job
- Good English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook
- Class 3 driving license is an added advantage
