(On 12 hours shift)
- Deliver fuel savings from route optimisation, minimum ballast monitoring, planning and speed management intervention.
- Analyze the route recommendations from the vendor and proposing new routing optimisation opportunities to vessel taking into consideration PIL specific restrictions/requirements
- Ensure vessel reports and AIS polling data in the platform for PIL operated and Owned fleet is in order and available at all times. Any discrepancy to be followed up promptly and closed out.
- Ensure Traffic Management module is maintained and monitor inputs by agencies
- Assist in implementation of new digital tools
- Vigilant monitoring of TS/Cyclone avoidance monitoring with robust review of available options, providing clear guidance to vessel to minimize delays and bunker consumption.
- Effective slip monitoring regime in place and taking the lead in identifying opportunities for under water inspection and/or hull/propeller cleaning.
- Provide close monitoring and support to all key stakeholders during any crisis management event in our fleet.
Who we are looking for:
- Sea-going experience as Chief Engineer / Chief Officer / Master on container vessels with Class 1 Certificate of Competency
- Previous cargo planning experience on shore-based planning roles would be advantageous
- Proficient in Microsoft office tools & ability to create & customize dashboard. (Power BI, Tableau)
- Fully conversant with EEXI, EEOI, EEDI, CII, AER and prevailing and upcoming regulations pertaining to Emissions.
- Maintain comprehensive Port Cards Database for reference by all parties including but not limited to Network Planning team, Operations Teams, Vessel Master
- Ability to engage on signing Masters and Chief Engineers as part of briefing programme to explain CME's role and their support required on-board for win-win outcome
