Oculus Design is seeking an Art Director to conceptualise and develop creative works that blend storytelling and compelling visuals to join us in our growth.
As a strategic design communications agency based in Singapore, you get to work on projects ranging from publications to brand design/ identity, social media and digital campaigns, and everything else in between.
Our ideal candidate would have a strong background in print while you could have been developing your portfolio in digital media recently. You enjoy working with various mediums. With a good foundation in design principle, you have strong creative conceptualisation skills and aesthetic skills. You are able to create visuals that are visually engaging, with strong ideas behind them. You are versatile, moving easily between print and digital projects.
You would need to have at least five years of experience in an advertising, communication or design agency, with a strong portfolio in print and branding projects, BTL works for corporate clients. You have also worked on some digital/social media campaigns. You are driven by ideas and understand that the best ideas are simple in nature. You know how to get into the hearts and minds of clients. Responsibilities:-
- Conceptualise, art direct, design and pitch for current and new projects
- Oversee the day-to-day work of the design team
- Present words and images that are easy for readers to digest with high visual impact
- Liaise with customers and suppliers
- Lead the team and oversee development of work for customers/ corporate clients
- Stay ahead of the curve by keeping your finger on the pulse of social trends and the latest happenings
Requirements:-
- Minimum Diploma holder in the relevant field
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in the advertising, design and digital fields
- Prior work experience in Singapore is a must
- Strong command of spoken and written English
- Digital experience and the ability to write will be an added advantage
- Provide art direction for photography
