Job Purpose
The Clinical Application Specialist is primarily responsible for ensuring the provision of advice and assistance on the usage of therapy devices and products to end users. The job holder is also accountable for the conduct of training for medical professionals, allied health personnel, patients and sales team to ensure that they are familiar with and confident in using the products.
Critical Work Functions & Key Tasks
1. Case Management
(a) Support Sleep & Airway therapy cases according to product usage instructions while adhering to infection control and observing patient safety as priority.
(b) Execute and coordinate the schedulling and management of case coverage ensuring that all cases are attended to by the Clinical Application Team competently and promptly.
(c) Ensure that end users and healthcare professionals receive correct advice and adequate, professional support in the diagnostics and therapy process, and provide on-call assistance when necessary.
(d) Support diagnostics and therapy management improvement projects to increase efficiency.
2. Training
(a) Assist in training new sales and clinical staff and assess them, ensuring that they are familiar with the features and applications of the products and able to respond to the typical questions posed and difficulties faced by end users and healthcare personnel.
(b) Accompany new sales and clinical staff to attend to diagnostics and therapy cases, providing on-site guidance and support.
(c) Prepare and conduct in-service training for the allied health and healthcare personnel ensuring that they are familiar with and confident in using the products.
(d) Work with sales team to develop training materials and competency assessment documents.
(e) Review and ensure that the clinical application contents, training materials and quizzes in the Learning Management Platform are accurate, up-to-date and systematically presented.
3. Business Development and Others
(a) Support sales and marketing activities, contribute towards business growth via diagnostics and therapy product sales.
(b) Maintain accurate and updated records of end user diagnostics and therapy journey. Review data for reporting and analysis of inventory tracking and business results.
(c) Identify business opportunities while attending to cases or interacting with customers and users and pass on the information/leads to the Sales Team for follow up.
(d) Join the Sales Team at times and demonstrate the use of the products to lend credibility to the value of the products and technical expertise of the Company to help secure the sales.
(e) Manage and optimise expenses in thoughtfully organising training, events and work activities and using resources.
(f) Perform other assignments and projects as assigned by the management.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required
(a) Diploma in nursing/Bio-medical engineering/science/engineering
(b) 2-3 years of relevant working experience in medical industry and hospital setting
