As a Legal Counsel specializing in the commodities and shipping industry, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to the company on a broad range of matters related to commodities trading, shipping, logistics, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure that legal risks are identified, assessed, and appropriately managed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all legal affairs related to our trading operations and ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Negotiate and resolve disputes in relation to Trading and other businesses
- Provide legal advice and support to trading businesses.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks and maintain the laws and internal regulations regards to trading businesses
- To prepare, review and advise on contracts and other legal matters, as required.
- Handle legal risks, advising senior management, and providing strategic legal guidance to support the company's objectives
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors’ degree in Law and call to the Bar in Singapore
- 2 years of experience in international shipping and trade practice.
- Deep understanding of commodities trading regulations, industry practices, and market dynamics.
- Dynamic, hardworking, meticulous and good interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
