Key Summary
The incumbent is a highly creative and dynamic individual with acute business acumen to lead, manage, curate, implement and sustain the programmes and initiatives of Café Kawan and Mobile Café Kawan.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and design programmes/initiatives for Café Kawan and Mobile Café Kawan as well as ComSA Club while proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues, and initiating appropriate corrective action
- Recommend and adopt effective marketing strategies for new and existing programmes through various channels, in line with the Foundation’s objectives.
- Manage programme budget, monitor expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits.
- Ensure that expenses are within budget and identify ways to decrease operational costs.
- Draft application and proposals for submission to funding authorities to maximize grants and license approvals for operating the cafe and Community for Successful Aging Club.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of café staff and volunteers.
- Establish work standards and processes for the effective administration and running of the cafe.
- Identify strategies to attract and engage the seniors in the community.
- Manage successful partnerships, collaborations and communication with various stakeholders.
Key Requirements
- Minimum Degree/Diploma with 3 years of working experience of a similar capacity in a service-oriented industry.
- Preferably with some hands-on experience in food preparation.
- Experience with social media and in managing volunteers will be a plus.
- Experience in managing programmes from AACs or similiar setting for seniors would be an added bonus.
- Team player with excellent people management skills
- Resourceful and possess strong organisational skills
- Penchant for working with the elderly and their caregivers
- Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin
- Ability to converse/ understand Chinese dialects is an added advantage
