Job Responsibilities:

  1. Build up Greater China futures business team, grow Chinese futures business in Asia and grow global markets business from Chinese background entities - this includes developing and executing your own growth plan in regard to industrial clients and financial institutions to trade Chinese internationalized futures products (specified domestic products).
  2. Promote comprehensive cooperation with industrial clients, solicit new oil-related clients in Singapore and maintain the customer service and relationship.
  3. Work with parent company (CGS) and other subsidiaries within the group to open up more channels for cross-border trading.
  4. Work closely with Singapore teams as well as Mainland China teams to bring new products (e.g. new derivatives products) to the market and new channels (e.g. TRS, QFII) to the clients, this includes collecting customer feedback, marketing plans, etc.
  5. Work with various cross-functional teams to drive brand awareness in the key markets in Asia (Singapore, Hong Kong, S. Korea, Japan, South-East Asia).
  6. Growth partner relationships with important partners such as exchanges, FCMs, etc.
  7. Manage and track the needs of commodities customers, and provide customized services of risk management, hedging, arbitrage, etc.
  8. Execute a structured business development process and work with the teams to further improve operational efficiency (e.g. CRM, effectiveness of campaigns, etc.)
  9. Other work assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  1. Excellent Chinese and English communication skills, both verbal and written is required to liaise with our Chinese counterparts
  2. Professional level of other major Asia language is an advantage.
  3. 8 + years of experience with derivatives or spot commodities, working with institutional clients.
  4. Team management experience is preferred.
  5. Experience in high performing teams and institutions is preferred.
  6. Experience in business development, partnerships or any client-facing role within financial services would also be advantageous.
  7. BSc/MSc in Finance/Economics/Business or any related degree
  8. Experience in several important Asian markets; deep understanding of both Asian and Western mindsets and ways of doing business.
  9. Familiar with Chinese futures market, working experience in Chinese FCMs or overseas subsidiaries is preferred.
  10. Familiar with industry chain, with rich industrial customer resources and social resources.
  11. Good at communication and teamwork. Strong initiative, excellent resource integration ability and business promotion ability.
