Who is the Commercial and Pricing Lead?


The commercial finance and pricing senior manager will serve as a key advisor to our Southeast Asia businesses, identify and oversee execution of deliverables relating to pricing strategy and commercial excellence.


This role will also define competitive pricing strategies based on business and financial objectives, market and competitive analysis and participate in business development for external clients in pricing and commercial strategy.


As a member of the APAC Commercial and Pricing team, you will work closely with a dynamic and experienced group of professionals who are dedicated to negotiating best-practice contracts and implementing value-based pricing models. These efforts will be customized to meet the specific requirements of our strategic clients, reflecting our commitment to delivering exceptional service and tailored solutions.


Key Duties:

  • Prepare financial modeling /pricing analysis and business cases for new products / opportunities and existing programs in Southeast Asia
  • Lead cross functional teams in developing and implementing strategic roadmaps product offering, pricing strategies whilst advising and earning the title of trusted advisor to our internal stakeholders
  • Prepare pricing and investment committee materials for internal review and external client proposals
  • In-depth analysis of competitors’ strategies and customers’ pricing elasticity study
  • Identify customer purchasing behaviours, price/discount sensitivity, brand loyalty across sales channels
  • Support a robust process for product and pricing reviews ensuring appropriate controls, governance and documentation are in place
  • Participate in APAC regional knowledge/info sharing and further develop financial models and management reporting to ensure effective and efficient analysis and commercial decision making
  • Drive regional framework and standards for pricing and investment analytics and performance management Top of Form

Here’s what you’ll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance; with CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • 8 -12 years relevant experiences
  • Strong commercial acumen - experience in Consulting, Corporate Finance, Telecommunications / Services / Insurance industries, new business/product development
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills - advanced financial modelling in Excel a must with excellent analytical skills
  • Natural intellectual curiosity and problem-solving ability, exhibits initiative to learn whatever is necessary to explore new solutions
  • Must maintain a high level of ownership and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience in managing time zones / matrix structure within a global organization (able to work flexible hours as needed during peak times)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders at all levels. Promotes customer satisfaction and quality customer service for internal clients
