Responsibilities:
- Lead technology innovation, product design and development of medium and high voltage energy storage solutions (commercial & industrial application and residential application).
- Work in a team of multi-disciplinary engineers to define system/sub-systems/components requirements and specifications, test protocols and quality standards.
- Provide system architecture design, flow-down into sub-systems and functions such as battery cells/modules/pack, BMS, electrical and mechanical designs, thermal designs.
- Define key components and connections such as PCS, EMS, fire protection system, temperature control system.
- Develop high voltage cabling, wire-dressing, busbar, switching and fusing requirements.
- Manage technical engagement with marketing/sales in organization and regional clients on energy storage projects cross product lifecycle.
- Provide support to the company’s product and quality certification activities.
- Review conceptual design, detailed design, and design improvement during product development and project execution.
- Establish technology and product roadmaps through market insight and industrial trend.
- Conduct cost analysis and BoM management of product.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical, Electronics, Power Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related.
- 3+ years of experience in system design or equivalent on BESS, UPS, power grid, power electronics products, especially in containerized ESS, solar energy, high voltage power conversions.
- Solid engineering fundamentals on battery, electrical power, safety, fire protection.
- Knowledge of mechanical and thermal designs, cooling of electronics.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Being a good team player.
Preferably:
· Familiar with CAD design tools and Circuit design tools.
· Experience in modelling and analysing lithium-ion battery packs.
