Job Summary:
The successful applicants will work closely with the Retail Manager in the School Shop to assist parents in uniform purchase, print and tag barcode labels to uniform and participate in stocktaking. The role reports to the Retail Manager.
Requirements:
- Retail sales experience preferred but not essential
- Service-oriented and good customer service skills
- Be confident in spoken and written English
- Positive attitude and positive approach to working with people
- Able to work independently as well as a good team player
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales/Merchandising
- Report to the Manager on any work-related issues.
- Assist parents/students on the pricing and selection of uniforms.
- Assist in the daily replenishment of stocks, maintenance of display and cleanliness of The Shop.
- Other ad hoc duties concerning the operations of The Shop.
2. Communication
- Be confident in spoken and written English.
- Always demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Communicate regularly with the retail manager regarding the operations of the Shop.
- Be responsible for reporting any concerns about a child to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
- Embrace the School’s commitment in creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
- Be able to communicate with children between the ages of 3 to 18 years of age and their parents.
3. Summary
- As a Retail Assistant, you will be required to assist parents and students regarding their uniform needs for school and shop operations such as but not limited to stock replenishment, shop cleanliness, storeroom maintenance and stock taking duties.
