Responsibilities:
- Oversee all dining areas, supervises all service staff in accordance with policies of management and the day-to-day operations.
- Organize and supervise shifts by allocating all front of house staff duties during service alongside management.
- Ensuring strict compliance with licensing, hygiene and safety legislation & guidelines.
- A brand ambassador for the restaurant; continuing/creating an excellent reputation while communicating about the Company’s values to internal and external stakeholders is key.
- Coordinate and work alongside back of house team to ensure consistent and excellent customer service and satisfaction; from responding to all queries and reservations in a timely manner to responding efficiently and politely to customer complaints and providing adequate and useful recommendations to customers on the restaurant’s menu.
- Rostering; be adept at managing a full time and part time team.
- To manage par levels of restaurant inventory and place orders when necessary.
- Ensuring that there are adequate amenities for use during restaurant operations.
- Work with management to set targets and incentives to increase turnover and profitability of the restaurant when necessary.
- Review and plan in conjunction with marketing regarding displays, promotions, menu ideas and input.
- Ensuring that delegated administration duties regarding all operational reports are duly met and completed on time.
- Manages the restaurant's reservation system & POS alongside management.
- Maintains the ambience and high standards of cleanliness and tidiness of the restaurant.
- Consistently oversees, coaches and encourages team members to improve standards.
- Undertake any other duties as may be required by management in order to meet the changing needs of the operations.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, F&B Manager or similar role.
- The 3 “R”s: Responsible, Resourceful & Reliable.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Strong people management and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and engagement.
- Good wine knowledge.
- Good knowledge of restaurant operating systems & Microsoft office applications.
- Possess a strong sense of initiative with high standards of cleanliness and personal hygiene.
- Adaptable and personable.
