JOB DESCRIPTION
- Provide financial leadership and strategic thinking to support sustainable value-creation
- Work closely with Business Solutions Team to implement and streamline processes across the entire accounting and finance spectrum, leveraging automation and technological solutions to drive efficiency and productivity
- Lead and supervise the Finance team, providing clear guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and professional growth
- Supervise and review the timely preparation of financial statements and reports for management and external stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and Group policies
- Overall responsible for all tax reporting matters with tax agents and Group Tax
- Plan and oversee the annual financial audit process
- Review and resolve accounting issues where necessary
- Ensure that issues and deficiencies arising from audit findings are resolved on timely basis
- Respond to internal and external auditors on audit data, variances and audit findings
- Manage a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
- Establish and maintain robust accounting procedures, processes, and controls for each entity, streamlining workflows and ensuring accuracy
- Initiate and lead process improvement projects
- Lead and manage teams to ensure optimisation of resources
- Oversee the training and development of teams to ensure competency in performing all required tasks
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Recognised degree in Accounting or equivalent professional qualification, preferably CA
- 10 - 12 years of relevant working experience, ideally with initial years in a Big 4 audit firm followed by commercial experience
- Conversant with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International) and other regulatory compliance requirements of listed companies
- Strong leadership experience in managing and leading teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial reporting
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
- Self-driven, meticulous, energetic, proactive, good team player, good interpersonal and communication skills, and a keen analytical mind
- Must be able and willing to accept intra-department or inter-division transfers/job rotations, and henceforth changes in work scope and responsibilities
